South Valley Ranch Community Picnic

Spent a very windy Sunday at the South Valley Ranch Community Picnic getting to know some great people who will be in one of the new portions of Assembly District 18 in November. The residents of this community were very welcoming and working hard to get volunteers for their Neighborhood Watch. Henderson City Councilwoman Gerri Shroeder was there as well and we had a great talk with Henderson Police Officers about concerns in the area. Community safety is a number one priority for these residents and I was happy to see such involvement from so many!

Assemblyman Carrillo was asked back to J.M. Ullom Elementary School to talk about BOTH of his careers on December 7, 2011. And this time, he learned a little something too! As always, he appreciates the opportunity to reach out to future voters and to remind them that education is important.
