As a father and a grandfather, I understand the need for a quality education. Ensuring that the children of Nevada have access to quality education will attract industry to relocate here, and they know they will have an educated workforce to draw from. We also need to be aware that not every child will want to go to college. We need to emphasize the need for vocational schools to allow the trades to have a workforce that is second to none. My wife is a school district employee and I get to hear it from her how the cutbacks are affecting her job everyday. We need to make sure we are using our resources for education to the maximum. It doesn't stop there, higher education is another area that cannot be cut anymore. Having top notch educators to ensure that we can bring a better business climate to Nevada is essential for our diversified growth.
