Whitney Elementary School invited Santa Claus, Richard Carrillo and other community leaders to come and participate in making sure the students received Christmas gifts this year.  Whitney Elementary School has received national media attention due to the high number of homeless students enrolled there as well as the hard work the Principal, Sherri Gahn, and her staff have done to make sure the students at Whitney E.S. have all that they need in order to stay in school.

Richard is proud to have such a school in his District and supports their efforts to ensure that their students are not going hungry on the weekends and that they have clothing to wear to school.  Richard was more than happy to help distribute Christmas presents to the children and was reminded why it is important to continue to strive to support all of the children of Nevada.
